Abstract:
To provide an image forming apparatus that can prevent strong adhesion of talc to a photoreceptor with high durability to prevent image deletion through durable use.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus has electrifying means for electrifying an electrophotographic photoreceptor while in contact therewith, developing means that has a toner for developing an electrostatic latent image to form a toner image, and cleaning means that brings a blade into contact with the electrophotographic photoreceptor to remove a toner on the photoreceptor. In powder fluidity measurement, when a propeller-type blade is penetrated into a surface of a toner powder layer manufactured by applying a vertical load of 40 N, while rotating the blade at a peripheral velocity at the outermost edge part of 10 mm/sec, the total energy of the toner is 150 mJ or more and 400 mJ or less, and the true density of the toner is 1.25 g/cm3 or more and 1.80 g/cm3 or less. The surface of the electrophotographic photoreceptor has a universal hardness value of 150 N/mm2 or more and 270 N/mm2 or less and an elastic deformation rate (We) of 40% or more and 65% or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
