Abstract:
To provide a technique by which an image forming device can achieve more efficient operation.SOLUTION: An MFP comprises a controller that controls operation of the MFP using a multi-core CPU. The MFP receives a real time job J1 (a copy job and the like) which should be controlled using a core R1 of a plurality of cores and receives a rasterization job J2 which should be controlled using a core R2 of the plurality of cores. The controller, when an execution period of the real time job J1 overlaps with an execution period of the rasterization job J2 and when it is estimated that a processing load rate in the core R2 reaches a predetermined value TH1 (for instance 95%) by execution of the rasterization job J2, allows the rasterization job 2 to be shared and executed by two or more cores (cores R2 and R3 and the like) of the plurality of cores to suppress the processing load rate in the core R2 to be lower than the predetermined value TH1 and allows the real time job J1 and the rasterization job J2 to be executed in parallel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
