PURPOSE: To provided an image forming device provided with a sound output means capable of efficiently transmitting information of various kinds to a user by a sound.
CONSTITUTION: A sound output signal and a sound discriminating signal are outputted to a sound control part 100 by a main control part 50. Sound information is selected out of a sound information storage part 101 by the sound control part 100 by using the sound discriminating signal outputted from the main control part 50, then, the sound information is outputted to a sound output part 102. Either a guidance sound related to a device main body and an image forming processing or a message sound other than the guidance sound, such as a message and propaganda is outputted from the sound output part 102 by the sound information outputted from the sound control part 100.
