Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming apparatus that prevents an attachment from accumulating on a surface of a latent image holding body including a single-layer photosensitive layer, compared with a case where, after transfer of a toner image, a developer holding body is continuously moved in the same direction as the direction of movement of the latent image holding body at a facing part of the latent image holding body and developer holding body.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 10 comprises: a photoreceptor 14 that includes a single-layer photosensitive layer on a conductive substrate and rotates; a developing roller 26 that is arranged opposite to the photoreceptor 14, and develops an electrostatic latent image formed on the photoreceptor 14 as a toner image while moving with respect to the photoreceptor 14; and a motor 28 that, after transfer of the toner image, moves the developing roller 26 in a direction opposite to the direction of movement of the photoreceptor 14 at a facing part of the photoreceptor 14 and developing roller 26.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
