Abstract:
To provide an image forming device and an image forming device diagnostic system which enable accuracy of fault diagnosis and life prediction to be improved without inhibiting other processing in the image forming device.SOLUTION: An image forming device diagnostic system comprises a configuration in which an image forming device 100, a diagnostic server 101 and a PC 102 are connected to each other in such a manner that diagnostic servers can communicate with each other by using a communication network 110. The image forming device 100 comprises: a main body portion which mechanically performs image formation processing; a mechanical control portion which performs mechanical control on the main body portion to cause it to perform image formation processing; and a controller control portion which instructs the mechanical control portion to perform the image formation processing. The mechanical control portion includes first communication means for bi-directional communication between the controller control portion and the first communication means, and second communication means which transmits diagnostic data acquired from the main body portion to the diagnostic server 101 via the communication network 110 without via the controller control portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
