To provide a compact/inexpensive image forming device capable of forming a high-quality image by means of a simple/safe device for preventing an abnormal image from being formed by reducing the abrasion wear of an image carrier caused by removing a discharge product matter stuck to the image carrier.
This image forming device is composed of an electrifying means 2 for electrifying the image carrier 1, a latent image forming means 3 for forming a latent image on the image carrier 1 uniformly electrified by the electrifying means 2, a developing means 4 for forming a toner image by developing a latent image formed by the forming means 3, a transfer means 5 for transferring the toner image formed by the developing means 4 to a body to be transferred P, a cleaning means 6 for removing residual toner stuck to the image carrier 1 after transfer by the transfer means 5 and cleaning the carrier 1, and a discharge product matter sucking and removing means 7 for sucking and removing the discharge product matter produced and stuck to the image carrier 1 while press-contacting with the image carrier 1.
