To provide an image forming device capable of achieving high conveyance speed of paper and simplifying control and configuration.

This image forming device 1 forms images on both sides of a paper and is provided with a folding-back roller 5r, conveyance rollers 6r1, 6r2, and a clutch mechanism 6c. The folding-back roller 5r is driven by a first driving source M2 for conveying the paper on which image is formed in one direction by letting it pass through an image forming section 4 into an inversion conveyance section 6 by inverting one direction and the other direction for a paper conveyance passage to form image in the other direction. The conveyance rollers 6r1, 6r2 convey the paper inverted in the inversion conveyance section 6 using a second driving source M1 for conveying paper in the image forming section 4. The clutch mechanism 6c is provided among the conveyance rollers 6r1, 6r2 and the second driving source M1 to drive the conveyance rollers 6r1, 6r2 intermittently and convey paper in the inversion conveyance section 6 or hold stop.
