The image forming device includes: the device casing having a first side face in which the paper feed tray having paper before image formation placed thereon is disposed and an opening for feeding the paper is formed, and a second side face located adjacent to the first side face; the cover covering the paper feed tray; and a support means moving the cover to a retracting position opposing the second side face and a covering position covering the paper feed tray.
