Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing excessive temperature rise of/damage to a fixation member.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a loop-shaped fixation member 21; a heat source 23 that is disposed on the inner peripheral surface side of the fixation member, and emits light and heat to heat an area to be heated 21a of the fixation member; a reflection member 24 that is disposed opposite to the area to be heated, with the heat source interposed therebetween, on the inner peripheral surface side of the fixation member, and reflects the light emitted from the heat source to the area to be heated side; a condenser lens 25 that is disposed between the heat source and the area to be heated and condenses the light emitted from the heat source to the heat source side rather than the area to be heated; a shielding member 26 that is disposed between the condenser lens and the area to be heated, has a translucent part 26a, and is made of a light shielding material at the part other than the translucent part; and a support part that supports at least one of the condenser lens and the shielding member at a heating position where the light-condensing point, which is brought about by the condenser lens, of the light emitted from the heat source coincides with the translucent part when the fixation member rotates and at shielding position where the light-condensing point is deviated from the translucent part when the fixation member is stopped.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
