PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the work efficiency of paper removal by a user.SOLUTION: When a carrying jam occurs and the carrying of paper P is stopped, if the paper P is stopped while sticking onto a carrying surface in a state of striding over either one of a register roller pair 41 on an upstream side or a carrying roller pair 71 on a downstream side on the carrying surface of a belt platen portion 43, a control portion 8 drives at least either one of the carrying roller pair or the belt platen portion 43 clipping the paper P, thereby resolving at least a part of the sticking state between the paper P stopped on the carrying surface and the carrying surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
