Abstract:
To provide an image forming apparatus that stably maintains the high image quality of a reference image used in inspection of a printed material.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 101 comprises: a printer 107 that prints an image on a sheet; and an inspection device 108 that performs inspection of an image of a printed material to be inspected formed on the sheet by the printer 107. The inspection device 108 includes an image reading unit 235 that reads an image formed on the sheet by the printer 107, and a memory 234 that stores a result of reading of a sheet performed by the image reading unit 235, the sheet being formed with a reference image to be an inspection reference for an image to be inspected, and the inspection device compares the result of reading of the reference image stored in the memory 234 with the image of the printed material to perform inspection. The printer 107 includes a CPU 222 that adjusts the image quality of an image to be formed before forming the reference image on the sheet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
