Abstract:
To provide an image forming device that performs processing for image formation under an appropriate image formation condition in accordance with a sheet type in which the image formation is performed.SOLUTION: An image forming device comprises: a sheet-feeding/conveying roller that conveys a sheet along a sheet conveyance passage; an image forming part that forms an image on the conveyed sheet, under an image formation condition; and a media sensor, provided in the sheet conveyance passage, which senses physical properties including basis weight of the conveyed sheet. A control part of the image forming device selects a category of the sheet on the basis of a sensed result by the media sensor, and presents candidates for default media, user-defined media or the like, for each category, to a user through a display screen of an operation part. When a selected result by the user is inputted through the operation part, the control part controls the image formation condition in accordance with the received selected result, so that image formation is performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
