Title:
IMAGE FORMING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3261927
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an image forming device which ensures stable image quality by reducing soil on the edge of a photoreceptor drum and preventing erroneous detection of a joint position.
CONSTITUTION: The width of an electrifier 21, which electrifies the photosensitive belt 10 to potential of a fixed level, is greater than the width of development by a developing device 22, but is smaller than or equal to the width of the photosensitive belt 10, and is smaller than the width of an intermediate transfer drum 30. The electrifier electrifies all the way to the vicinity of a joint position detection marker 65 provided at the edge of the photosensitive belt 10. By electrifying all the way to the vicinity of the marker, sticking of scatter toner to a non-image area is prevented, and erroneous detection can be prevented as the vicinity of the marker kept clean. Additionally, even in case scatter toner stick there, it is transferred to the intermediate transfer drum because transfer potential is high, therefore the vicinity of the marker is always clean and a sensor is prevented from erroneously detecting the marker.
