Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of preventing a sheet from clogging even in the case that a face-up tray (second sheet exhaust part) is opened during the two-surface mode.
SOLUTION: In the single surface mode, a sheet on whose one surface an image is formed is discharged to the second paper discharge part 10 by opening a first paper discharge part 9 provided at the oversurface of the device body 1 or second paper discharge part 10 installed at the device body 1 with possibility of being opened and closed. In the two-surface mode, sheet on whose both surfaces images are formed is transported to the first paper discharge part 9 via a sheet discharge passage generated by closing the second paper discharge part 10. When sensing is made in the two-surface mode, that the second paper discharge part 10 is opened on the basis of the sensing signal given by an opening/closing sensing part S4, a control means controls the rotating direction of a two-surface transporting means 8 on the basis of the clock information given by a clocking means at the time of sensing and transports the sheet on whose one surface image is formed to the first 9 or second paper discharge part 10, or a two-surface transportation part 2.
