Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform the processing for paper jam occurred on a sheet discharge part and an after-processing means during the execution of printing job of an image forming device comprising a double-sided printing unit.
SOLUTION: In a case when the paper jam occurs in the sheet discharge part (sheet discharge roller 11), all of sheets S fed out onto a sheet conveying passage 5 from sheet supply means 2, 3, 4 after the jammed sheet S, are conveyed on a sheet conveying passage 5 and a branch passage 12 to be collected to a sheet supporting part 16 of the double-sided printing unit 13. Then the double-sided printing unit 13 is drawn out from a device body 14 to take out the sheets S collected on the sheet supporting part 16 of the double-sided printing unit 13 all together. Whereby the paper jam processing work can be simplified in comparison with a case when a plurality of sheets S scattered in the sheet conveying passage 5 are independently taken out, and a paper jam processing work time can be shortened.
