The control unit 20 executes: RIP processing of converting the image data made of an object described in a page description language to the printing data; range decision processing of deciding, on the basis of the object, a drawing range PR where the image is formed on a sheet S; region decision processing of deciding, from the drawing range PR, a region in a width direction where the heat roller 71 needs to reach a fixation possible temperature Tf when the image formation unit 5 forms the image on the sheet S; and image formation processing of causing the image formation unit 5 to start image formation on the sheet S at the timing at which the region in the width direction of the heat roller 71 decided by the region decision processing reaches the fixation possible temperature Tf.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
