Abstract:
To prevent image deviation from occurring at the time of forming a composite image by different image forming means.
Specified time after the leading edge of recording material P passes a leading edge detecting sensor 161, the electrification of a transfer device 120 is controlled by an electrification control means 121. Then, the recording material P is electrostatically attracted to a belt 104 shared by an electrophotographic image forming part 102 and an ink jet image forming part 103. In such a case, the control means 121 controls the transfer device 120 so that only the leading edge of the recording material P may be electrostatically attracted to the belt 104.
