Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation apparatus which can correctly perform handling of image data transferred from an external controller at different timings for each color and deal with high-speed printing.SOLUTION: An image transfer unit includes: a Tag reception unit which receives Tag information for identifying image type and attribute of characters, photograph and the like of a plate for each of plural colors one time per one page; a Tag write DMA unit which embeds a process identifier for identifying a page in a region other than an effective region of data with respect to the received Tag information and accumulates the information in a memory; a Tag read DMA unit which reads the Tag information accumulated at the timing of receiving multi-value image data of the plate for each of the plural colors, extracts and outputs the process identifier; and an image processing unit which uses the Tag information read from the memory and reduces the value by performing image processing to the received multi-value image data of the plate for each of the plural colors. The Tag read DMA unit determines whether the extracted process identifier is a prescribed value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
