To provide an image forming method having high safety, not harmful to the environment, easy to operate and control, capable of rapid processing, excellent in storage stability of an image forming aqueous medium and capable of rapidly retrieving dye image information as digital information at a low cost using a rapidly processable general-purpose color negative film easy to operate and control, having high sensitivity and low fog and excellent in storage stability and to provide an image information producing method.
In the image forming method in which an exposed silver halide photographic sensitive material having a silver halide emulsion layer and a processing member are overlapped by way of an image forming aqueous medium and subjected to a processing procedure to form an image in the silver halide photographic sensitive material, the image forming aqueous medium contains at least one color developing agent and/or its precursor and has pH 4.0-11.0 at 25°C.
