Abstract:
To provide an image forming method providing a high image quality to a printed matter, and the printed matter thus provided, or to provide an image forming method providing a high image quality to a printed matter formed while saving on energy, and the printed matter thus provided.
In the image forming method, the printed matter is obtained by holding a toner image formed of a toner composed of toner particles and an external additive on a toner holding material layer formed on an image supporting base material, wherein a relational expression (1): 1.4≥C/D≥0.7, is satisfied when a refractive index of the toner external additive is represented by C, and a refractive index of the toner holding material layer is represented by D.
