To provide a method with which the noise caused by residual silver is reduced by removing included silver image information, from a developed photographic recording element having the residual silver by using recording image information in a wavelength region where a pigment has no absorption after digitally reading pigment image information obtained in an image state.
In a developing processing stage for the photographic recording element, having a photographic constituting layer containing at least photosensitive silver halide on either side of a support body and forming the pigment image of at least one color by liquid developing processing after exposing an image, the processing is finished in a state where the residual silver ratio in the photographic recording element is 5% or higher, and the image information in a visible light wavelength region, where the pigment image has absorption and the image information in a non-visible light wavelength region are read, and the obtained image information is calculated so that the noise of the image is reduced in this image forming method.
