To provide an image forming method with a silver halide color photographic sensitive material by which a silver halide color photographic sensitive material showes good adaptability for rapid process to obtain an image having no increase in fog nor deterioration during the storage.

This photosensitive material has a blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, a green sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and a red sensitive silver halide emulsion layer formed on a supporting body, and at least one layer of these photosensitive silver halide emulsion layers is spectrally sensitized, for example, by a sensitizing dye expressed by formula I. Further, at least one of these photosensitive silver halide emulsion layers contains a compd., for example, expressed by formula II. In the image forming method, the silver halide color photographic sensitive material is developed with a color developer containing a polymer or a copolymer having pyrrolidone nuclei in the molecular structure for 30 to 120 sec color developing time.
