Abstract:
To provide an image forming method by which satisfactory image strength and resolution are attained without requiring heating with respect to an image forming method from a negative image forming material which records using an infrared laser.
In the image forming method, a negative image forming material obtained by disposing on a support an image recording layer comprising (A) a radical generator, (B) a radical-polymerizable compound, (C) an IR absorbent and (D) a binder polymer is imagewise exposed with infrared laser light and developed with an alkali developer containing a sulfite.
