Abstract:
To provide an image forming method which exactly reproduces an image with a subtle color tone or fine dots even in the condition that an electronic watermark is inserted in a dot gradation image transformed from bit map data of a print, and hardly emerges an interference nonuniformity in the image.
The image forming method inserts an electronic watermark in image information of a dot gradation image formed as a set of pixels. The method specifies boundary pixels of dots in the image information based on a predetermined pattern, and inserts electronic watermark information in image information of the specified boundary pixels.
