Abstract:
To provide an image forming method with which, when using an ink having high thixotropy and discharging the ink circulating it in the vicinity of a nozzle, it is possible to suppress a change in ink viscosity at discharge time and uniformize discharge rates among nozzles to improve picture quality.SOLUTION: An image forming method pertaining to the present invention is characterized in that: contact type electrification means, development means, transfer means and a cleaning blade are arranged around an electrophotographic photoreceptor; inorganic particles are contained in a surface protective layer of the electrophotographic photoreceptor; an elastic deformation rate of the electrophotographic photoreceptor is 50% or less; an impact resilience of the cleaning blade is 30% or less; toner particles constituting a toner contains a lubricant, a positively charged inorganic external additive and a negatively charged inorganic external additive; and mass of the positively charged inorganic external additive and mass of the negatively charged inorganic external additive satisfy a relation in formula (1). Formula (1): 0.28≤mass of positively charged inorganic external additive/mass of negatively charged inorganic external additive.SELECTED DRAWING: None
