PURPOSE: To inhibit generation of transfer unevenness by using an image receiving material constituted of a specified paper base and a photosensitive material having a photosensitive layer contg. silver halide, a reducing agent, and a polymerizable compd. on a supporting body.
CONSTITUTION: A photosensitive material having a photosensitive layer contg. silver halide, a reducing agent, and a polymerizable compd. on a supporting body, wherein at least the polymerizable compd. is contained in said photosensitive layer in the form of being encapsulated in microcapsules, is image-exposed forming thus a latent image of silver halide. Simultaneously with or after the image-exposure, the latent image is developed. An image receiving material having an image receiving layer is superposed on the paper base and pressed. Thus, unpolymerized polymerizable compd. is transferred to the image-receiving material. The paper base for the image receiving material is preferred to have ≥103kgf/cm2 modulus of compression elasticity and within a range between 103W104kgf/cm2 modulus of compression elasticity. By this method, there is no fear for generating unevenness in the condition of breakage of unhardened microcapsules, and generation of unevenness in an transferred image is also inhibited.
