Abstract:
To provide an image forming system that can reduce power consumption, by performing appropriate electric power control to an external device.SOLUTION: An image forming system comprises an image forming device 101 that forms an image on a sheet, and a first paper supply device 301a that is supplied with electric power from an electric power system different from the image forming device 101. The image forming device 101 has a main control part 170 that discriminates a component that is used in a job from a component that is not used in the job. The first paper supply device 301a comprises: a paper supply stage 381a; a power source 681a that supplies electric power to the paper supply stage 381a; and a first paper supply control part 350a that obtains a result of the discrimination between the component that is used in the job and the component that is not used in the job from the main control part 170, supplies electric power from the power source 681a to the paper supply stage 381a when using the paper supply stage 381a, and interrupts supply of electric power from the power source 681a to the paper supply stage 381a when not using the paper supply stage 381a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
