Abstract:
To certainly prevent an increase in electric resistance of a transfer roller and efficiently perform cleaning.SOLUTION: An image forming system comprises: a transfer belt 31; a metal shaft 34b that is electrically floated during printing; a transfer roller 34 that forms a first nip part N1 with the transfer belt; a conductive device 35A that has an electric resistance lower than that of the transfer roller and forms a second nip part N2 with the transfer roller; and a power supply 36 that is electrically connected to the conductive device. The nip pressure of the second nip part is smaller than the nip pressure of the first nip part. A straight line connecting the first nip part and the second nip part passes through the shaft. The power supply has a first supply path 36b that supplies a first bias B1 to the conductive device during printing and a second supply path 36c that supplies a second bias B2 to the transfer roller during cleaning.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
