To provide an image forming system capable of reserving a post processing job in relation to an independent operation of a post processing device during the operation of forming an image and improving the utilization rate of the image forming system.
This image forming system 100 comprises a setting means for setting a processing function in relation to the independent operation of the post processing device 102, a reserving means for reserving a post processing job of the set processing function, a memory means for storing the processing function of the reserved post processing job, and a reservation managing means for managing the reservation of the post processing job based on the stored processing function. During the operation of forming an image, the processing function in relation to the independent operation of the post processing device 102 is set by means of an operation panel 11 and the set post processing job can be reserved in a control section 12. When a post processing function the same as the post processing function set in the already reserved post processing job is to be set, a warning or a message of impossibility of selection of the same function is displayed on a setting screen of the operation panel 11.
