In paper size invalid printing, in the case where printing paper set on a paper feeding device is longer than a printing page designated by a printing job in the carrying direction (No in Step S71), where a production priority of printing is set (Yes in Step S73) and where a paper size error occurs (No in Step S76), after paper discharge of printing paper printed by processing of an (n-1) page is completed (Step S75), single page printing for performing printing by feeding printing paper to print an n page is performed. When the printing paper is longer than the printing page in the carrying direction and no paper size error occurs, the n printing page is printed without waiting for paper discharge.
