This image heating device is provided with the rotary body 1 and an excitation coil 7 induction-heating the rotary body 1 and constituted so that the heating processing of an image 4 carried on a recording material 5 is executed by the heat of the rotary body 1. In the midst of the standby state of the device, the rotation of the rotary body 1 is stopped and the rotary body 1 is heated by the coil 7. When a heating processing start signal is inputted, the heating processing is started after the rotary body 1 is rotated for a prescribed term.
