Abstract:
To enhance execution efficiency of image processing in a multifunction image I/O device.
The device for inputting/outputting image information comprises a means for processing image information inputted by the image information I/O means by hardware in units of band of predetermined size, and a means for processing image information inputted by the image information I/O means by software in units of band of predetermined size. The hardware image processing means and the software image processing means are used properly in units of band depending on the priority of a job being executed.
