An image information display device for displaying an image photographed by an electronic camera has a memory 11 for storing image data and header information accompanying it, an image data processing circuit 12 for reading the image data stored in the memory 11 and generating a video signal, a display unit 13 for displaying the generated video signal, a header information selection circuit 14 for selecting the item of header information by a manual operation in a state, where a window for selecting the item of header information is displayed and a image compositing circuit 15 reading header information equivalent to the selected item and corresponding image data from the memory 11, compositing image data so as to bury the header information which is read into a specified position of the corresponding image and writing composited image data in the memory 11.
