Abstract:
To provide an image inspection device, an image forming apparatus, and an image inspection method with which the color of an image on a print medium can be precisely inspected according to the characteristics of the print medium, even when the image is on the print medium consisting of a plurality of layers.SOLUTION: An image inspection device inspects a print image on a print medium consisting of a plurality of layers, and comprises: a color target calculation unit 32 that, based on print image data and the characteristics of the print medium consisting of the plurality of layers, calculates a color target value of printing on the print medium; a color measurement unit 33 that reads the print image on the print medium to acquire a color measurement value of the image; and a color determination unit 34 that compares the color target value with the color measurement value to determine the print image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
