Abstract:
To provide an inspection device capable of preventing a reduction in productivity by eliminating labor and time for manually deleting an unnecessary reference image in order to avoid the capacity of a storage unit from being oppressed by reference images generated and stored in executing an automatic inspection function.SOLUTION: An inspection device comprises: an image reading unit for reading an image on a recording medium formed on the basis of a print job to generate a scan image; an inspection unit for inspecting an inspection target image formed on a storage medium by comparing a scan image that is formed on the basis of a first print job and is generated by the inspection target image being read with a reference image; a storage unit that stores the reference image; and a control unit that makes a reference image generated by reading an image formed on the basis of a second print job be stored in the storage unit and, when the data amount of stored reference images is equal to or larger than a predetermined amount, deletes a reference image determined to satisfy a predetermined condition from the storage unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
