PURPOSE: To provide an image light operational amplifier which operates by a new theory and can improve the operational accuracy of each pixel.

CONSTITUTION: The polarization is turned in response to the light intensity of a signal 102, i.e., one of both image light input signals and this turning direction is inverted. Then the polarization of light signal is turned by the other image light input signal 101. These two image light input signals are put on each other at the polarization turning angle. An element 11 turns and reflects the polarization of the light made incident on a 2nd surface in accordance with the intensity of the light made incident on a 1st surface so that the polarization is turned in response to the light intensity. Then the light 112 having its polarization turned by the signal 102 is made incident again on the corresponding pixel position of the signal 101 after the turning direction of polarization is inverted by means of the element 11. The pixel positions of both signals 101 and 102 corresponding to each other are made incident on the pixel where the same elements are set close or desirably adjacent to each other. Therefore the inferior intra-surface equality can be compensated since the adjacent pixels have the comparatively similar characteristics.
