Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a picture correct in up and down sides by automatically applying upside-down inverting processing to image data corresponding to a difference in a film loading direction of a camera in use in an image pickup device of a film cartridge type where a case can be put in a cartridge chamber.
SOLUTION: A plate member 14 is extended to a side face of a case 16 that is formed to be put in a cartridge chamber of the camera, and a CCD 12 is fitted to this plate member 14. A direction setting switch 18 to designate a direction of a film mount to the camera is provided to a circumferential part of the case 16 and in the case of using the normal mount system camera, this switch 18 is set to a position of the normal setting, and in the case of using a camera of the upside-down mount system, this switch 18 is set to a reverse position. Or in place of the direction setting switch 18, an information terminal may be provided and a camera type can be recognized through communication with the camera main body.
