Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device and a swing correction device capable of a smooth vibration-proof operation without depending on the driving of an image pickup element, storage conditions and a swing frequency.
SOLUTION: This image pickup device is provided with a gyro 1 for detecting a swing, an A/D converter 4 for sampling swing information detected from the gyro 1 at a prescribed timing, an HPF 5 and an integrator 6 on the inside for computing a swing correction amount from the sampled swing information, a read control means for controlling the read timing of the image pickup element 161 based on the swing correction amount and a sampling timing control means 21 for varying the sampling timing corresponding to the storage time of the image pickup element 161 and the swing frequency, etc.
