Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the leak-in of noise due to other pulse in a sample holding time by making the pulse width of a pulse for the sample hold smaller than the one third of the cycle of the pulse. CONSTITUTION:A signal charge from a horizontal transfer register 3 is sent to an amplifier 4, and is converted to a voltage at the amplifier, and also, a double relative sampling is performed on it. In other words, the charge from the horizontal register 3 is voltage-converted at an FD (floating diffusion) 5, and is supplied to an LPF8 through a FET7. The LPF8 delays a signal from the FET7 and also, eliminates white noise and the high frequency component of a transfer clock. The signal from the LPF8 is sent to a holding FET12 through a FET11, then being held at a capacitor 13. At such a time, the pulse widths of pulses phi1, phi2, and phi3 for a clamp which drives each part of an output amplifier 3, an S/H, and a resetting are made smaller than the one third of the cycles of those pulses and the leak-in of the noise by other pulse can be prevented.
