Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a positive image having a proper lightness regardless of a density of a film base of a negative film.
CONSTITUTION: R, G, B signals and a luminance signal obtained by picking up an image of a negative image are subject to negative/positive conversion into signal representing a positive image by negative/positive image inversion circuits 29R, 29G, 29B and 29Y. Peak levels of the R, G, B signals and the luminance signal representing the positive image are detected by peak detection circuits 30R, 30G, 30B and 30Y. The peak levels are given to a controller 44 and an amplification factor of a preamplifier circuit 22 is controlled so that the peak of the luminance signal is a white level peak.
