Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply obtain an image signal at a proper level with high definition, even from an optional small area by making a level of the image signal of a full image pickup area substantially the same as that of an area which is narrower than the full image-pickup area.
SOLUTION: An image-pickup device 1 reads image signals from interleaved pixels within the full image-pickup area repetitively and continuously and dynamic images are displayed on a TV monitor 8. An image-pickup element 3 reads repetitively and continuously image signals of pixels within an optional area pointed out by a mouse or the like, that is ancillary to a personal computer(PC) 9 among all image pickup-areas on the image-pickup face without interleaving. The total number of pixels read without interleaving is set equal to a total number of pixels read from all the image area without interleaving. Since the signal storage time of the both becomes substantially equal, the levels of the image signals of the both is made equal.
