Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy of calculating parallax while reducing a calculation load required for calculating the parallax.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus 102 calculates first parallax included in parallax image data to be acquired from captured image data generated by imaging from multiple different points of sight. The apparatus generates reduced image data by reducing the captured image data, and calculates second parallax included in the reduced image data. The apparatus acquires parallax image data from the captured image data by use of the second parallax and a reduction rate of reduction pixel data in reduction processing with respect to the captured image data. The apparatus calculates a plurality of first coefficients for weighting each of reference pattern data corresponding to different parallax, for representing the parallax image data, by use of the reference pattern data, and calculates first parallax included in the parallax image data by use of the parallax corresponding to each of the reference pattern data and the first coefficients.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
