Abstract:

To execute color conversion corresponding to a color reproduceable region of an output device.

A color conversion table creating section 104a creates a color conversion table for converting a color value in a color space of image data into a color value in a color space of an output device, smoothes the created color conversion table, and corrects a smoothed color value so that it comes within the color reproduceable region of the output device when the color value (smoothed color value) of the color space of the output device in the smoothed color conversion table is out of the color reproduceable region of the output device. A color conversion processing section 104b uses the color conversion table after correction to execute color conversion processing for the image data.
