Abstract:
To overcome deficits such as occurrence of high and low positions of unwanted radiation levels during one scanning operation due to variation in the distance between a one-dimensional image sensor and a metallic member dependent on a scanning position of the image sensor or rise of unwanted radiation level to a position higher than that in image reading operation due to abrupt change in deflection of a cable connecting a sensor which moves at high speed during back feed after end of reading or during movement to a reading start position.
A timing signal for driving an image sensor and an A/D converter is set to be changed to a state in which unwanted radiation is decreased, except for a period for acquiring image data from the image sensor.
