The image processing apparatus comprises: a matching degree calculation unit configured to calculate respective matching degrees between an image waiting for processing and plural training images whose Kansei scores are pre-designated; and a Kansei score calculation unit configured to extract, from the plural training images, a predetermined number of training images corresponding to the maximum matching degree with the image waiting for processing, and then, based on the Kansei scores of the predetermined number of training images with regard to a selected Kansei type, calculate a Kansei score of the image waiting for processing.
