Abstract:
To make a case binding device properly perform a case binding process without causing deterioration in printing quality.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an image processing apparatus which generates a job for making a booklet when an image formation apparatus performs printing processing on sheets based upon image data and a case binding device bonds the sheets after the printing processing to a cover sheet with an adhesive to make the booklet. The image processing apparatus comprises: calculation means 162 for calculating, based upon the image data, an amount of ink for an adhesive penetration region where the adhesive when applied to both ends of a sheet is assumed to penetrate the sheet; decision means 163 for deciding, based upon the calculated amount of ink, binding positions, page by page; and job generation means 164 for generating a job based upon the image data and the decided binding positions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
