Abstract:
To provide an information processing apparatus and an information processing method for efficiently performing digitalization of a document by reducing the number of files requiring a user to check file names.SOLUTION: A method is performed by an image processing unit of an information processing apparatus, and the method includes: creating a name by using characters recognized from image data, and providing the name to the image data and storing the image data; requiring a user to approve the name, and transmitting the image data approved by the user to an external device and deleting the image data; when the name of the image data, which has exceeded a predetermined storage limit with the name not approved by the user, satisfies a predetermined condition, transmitting the image data to the external device before deleting the image data; and deleting the image data which has exceeded the predetermined storage limit with the name not approved by the user.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
