Abstract:
To create a shadow of an object composited in a CG space while reducing the amount of data and the amount of calculation.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus has: first acquisition means that acquires a foreground object image that is an image seeing a foreground object from a virtual viewpoint and not including the background; second acquisition means that acquires a background image that is an image seeing, from the virtual viewpoint, a CG space in which the background is drawn by using computer graphics; shadow creation means that creates a shadow image representing a shadow of the foreground object corresponding to the CG space; and composition means that creates a composite image obtained by compositing the foreground object image, the background image, and the shadow image as one image. The shadow creation means creates the shadow image based on two-dimensional information on the shape of the foreground object, and information on illumination in the CG space.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
