Abstract:
To effectively prevent image data to be kept secret from illegal leakage without damaging practicality in an image processing apparatus such as a copying machine.
The image processing method includes the steps of: searching a region to embed additional information on the basis of predetermined conditions when embedding the information into image data; determining whether a region which fulfills the predetermined conditions has been searched in the searching step; and embedding the additional information into the region which has been determined in the determining step.
