Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase detection accuracy of defective pixel signal, for the output signal from an imaging apparatus using image pickup devices having split pixels.SOLUTION: An image processing system performing determination on defects for an output signal from an image pick-up device having multiple pixels, each having a microlens and multiple photoelectric conversion means sharing the microlens, has determination means for outputting determination results of the defects of photoelectric conversion means of determination object, by comparing an output signal from the photoelectric conversion means of determination object, out of the multiple photoelectric conversion means, and an output signal from the photoelectric conversion means, included in a pixel on the periphery of the pixel having the photoelectric conversion means of determination object, and having a physical relationship corresponding to a physical relationship for the microlens.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
